Biography:
Tom Cummins brings over 35 years of experience in developing and launching innovative diagnostic tests and instrument systems across the life sciences, biotechnology, and consumer industries. Most recently, he served as a Senior Program Officer at the Gates Foundation for more than five years. In this role, Tom managed over $100 million in investments to develop affordable, cutting-edge diagnostic devices designed to meet the needs of low- and middle-income countries, driving significant advancements in global health.

Throughout his career, Tom has demonstrated expertise in translating customer needs into commercially successful products by leveraging emerging technologies and leading diverse, global cross-functional teams. His capabilities encompass the entire product development lifecycle, including early business value propositions, early-stage R&D, manufacturing transfer, clinical trials, and regulatory approvals and product launch strategies. He is committed to delivering seamless product development and commercialization strategies that ensure innovative solutions meet technical, regulatory, and end-user demands.
